USA BEATS SPAIN in FOOTBALL But does any one reallycare ?

In a what most around the world would consider a stunning upset Team USA defeated Spain in the confederations cup to end there 35 game unbeaten streak.

The sad but true fact is that no one in the US really cares about there national teams in non Olympic years and certainly do not care about soccer. I must admit that it took me 40 years to warm up to soccer and at the age of 46 I really do enjoy watching the game . you have got to know that growing up I hated to play soccer and no body I mean no body played when I was growing up in the 70's.

My son started playing soccer in high school and I am not sure if was because my son was playing or that I actually took the time to sit and watch a game .. but something clicked and I really enjoy watching soccer especially at the highest level and world cup soccer is the most exciting football on the planet .

So lets get some country spirit going and rally around good ole team USA and see how we can do in the 2010 world cup .... but first lets beat Brazil on sunday.......
